Finally, my NaruxKumi fanart for the Naruto ND Shippers out there! Personally, I see these two sharing a more "sibling-like" relationship, but hey, it's fun to think of right? Anyway, I can see some things that are off on this picture and noticeably rushed parts (I'm not trying to excuse my laziness, I'm just pointing it out right now so that a billion others won't have too*winks*) but overall its one of my favorite Naruto ND pictures!

For those of you who have never read Naruto ND, the doujinshi is about a sand kunoichi named Kumiko Akimoto (the girl sitting beside Naruto) who is transferred to the leaf village and placed in team 7! I recommend it to any Naruto fan! Read via [link] . Now for people who are NaruxSaku or NaruxHina fans don’t freak out (I myself am a supporter of both sides)! Naruto and Kumiko are not an official couple and Naruto is not romanticly involved with any character in the fan manga series as of right now so you can read without abandoning your ship *rim shot* ……..*crickets chirping*……*coughs* Moving on!

There is really no story behind this picture. I just wanted to draw Naruto and Kumiko hanging out together! For some reason, I thought it would be cool for the two to sit on the head of Gamabunta! I’m not sure if Gamabunta would appreciate Naruto summoning him just to be a chauffer (imagines Gamabunta flinging off Naruto and Kumiko in a fit of rage)

All in all, I really like this picture and hope that Naruto ND fans, the creators, and naruxkumi shippers like it as well!

My goodness its disgraceful how long it's taken me to actually fave and comment and go crazy over this! T_T *more apologies on the way* :please:

:excited: I was waiting for this NaruKumi pic for ages too and I love how it's turned out! I have to admit I kept trying to predict how it would look like, but this never crossed my mind!! It's so sweet, just the idea of Naruto summoning Gamabunta for something like that (without thinking of the possible consiquences to his actions) :XD: just shows you how occupied his mind was with Kumiko Lol ~ I love how you drew them sitting by the way *Naruto's grin is TOO cute*! They're comfortable in each other's presence, and I can almost sence a (step towards romance) from this pic~ The sunset colours are so nice and suitable ;)
And Gamabunta??lol XD True he doesn't look angry but I'm not concerned too much because I'm focusing on the other subjects of the picture ;p we'll just worry about his reaction later lol X3

Artist-sama! You've returned!! Aww don't worry about the lateness, I'm just glad that you still commented!!

To this day, I don't know why I though to draw this*lol* At first, I was going to draw Naruto and Kumiko on a hill with there summons Gamakichi and a very small dragon-chan (looking back, I think I was inspired by chapter 9's cover!) For some reason, I decided to replace the hill with Gamabunta and omitted the other two summons all together. The picture was also more "romantic" in the original draft! Like the Sasukumi picture, Naruto and Kumiko were all cuddley and in the end, I thought "naw"; at least not yet! For some reason I can see Naruto developing a crush on Kumiko *shruggs* And yes I wanted to make these two seem confortable around each other and yet be a little "too" close to hint possibly something more *Winks* In the original version, Kumiko was holding Naruto's hand and he was blushing because of it; but I thought that might be a little much *lol* Anyway...

haha! I love that you had a certain image to draw and then let your instincts about what the characters would really be like in them take over, because you get it right and they are in character, which is nice to see ;) Less is more with such pics I find..and even hints is enough to make me love a certain shipping so much :love:
