For Valentines Day, I wanted to create a "romance" picture. I decided to use two characters from the online fan manga series Naruto ND! Naruto fans probably recognize Sasuke Uchiha from the anime and manga. The girl beside him is a OC of Uchiha-Kumiko and Ishimaruk12 named Kumiko Akimoto. She is a sand ninja who was recently transferred to the leaf village through a exchange program! For more details, read Naruto ND via [link] .

Anyway, the rough draft of this picture was actually romantic. Sasuke and Kumiko were sitting on the bench, arm in arm and all cuddly. When I saw the finished sketch, I nearly gagged from the extreme “fluffy-ness” of the picture. Plus, I felt it put Sasuke and Kumiko way out of character! They are not even an “official” couple (at least not yet; only the creators know and they aren’t giving fans any clues!) The weird thing is, I can’t imagine Sasuke paired up with anyone; canon or fanon. No its not because I’m some Sasuke obsessed fangirl! It’s just that Sasuke seems to only have eyes for Itachi; by that I mean seeing him dead (You guys know the story) This was just something I wanted to draw because it came to me in a thought one day. Back to the picture…

I was so excided to finally work on this picture that I rushed some parts (perspective, proportion, ect.) I know this already so I don’t need it pointed out a thousand times! I also noticed that I made the bench much smaller than it originally was! Oh well… now for the story behind it!

Kumiko was taking a walk through Konoha when the heal of her shoe suddenly broke!*gasps* poor thing (I’m sure a lot of girls can relate; not me though because I can barely walk in heals so I own like one pair! Anyway…. Annoyed, she notices the bench and decides to rest since she hurt her ankle in the process. Kumiko moved so quickly she didn’t even notice that someone was also on the bench; Sasuke (catching some Z’s while sitting up)! When Kumiko looked up, she was upset to learn she had to share a bench with him and quickly turned away. Meanwhile, Sasuke suddenly felt warmth and peaks out of one eye and sees it’s Kumiko; much to his dissatisfaction as well (Which brings us to the current scene). The End

And finally, there was no major reason for making this picture black and white. I just thought it looked better than the original colors!*smiles* Naruto ND creators and fans, please comment and review! Thanks!!
